Sly Fox Fingerless Mitts Knitting Pattern

Create two-color fingerless mitts with fox motifs, patterned palms and ribbed edges. Separate charts guide the left and right mitt, including the shaped thumb gussets.

One size: women’s medium. Finished blocked mitts are approximately 8 in / 20.3 cm long and 7 in / 17.8 cm around. Gauge changes alter the fit and yarn requirements.

Approximately 110 yd / 101 m or 28 g of each of two colors of fingering/sock yarn. The sample uses Magpie Fibers Solo Fingering. Use 2.25 mm / US 1 double-pointed needles or circulars for magic loop, or the size needed for gauge. Gauge: 36 stitches and 36 rows per 4 in / 10 cm in blocked stranded pattern. Recommended for knitters comfortable with stranded knitting, charts and working in the round. Also needed: waste yarn, darning needle and optional marker.

A five-page PDF with written directions, separate left/right colorwork charts, chart key, materials, measurements and links for bind-off techniques. Finished mitts and yarn are not included.
