About This Pattern
A small handmade layer for chilly days, with bear ears worked into the hood. Knit it in one piece, both in the round and back and forth. Short rows shape the crown, and grafting finishes the top.
The face band uses two strands of merino without mohair. The rest uses merino and mohair held together. Choose the neck finish that suits your project.

Size & Fit
Choose by head size; ages are a guide. Measurements below are the head circumference the hood is designed to fit.

| 6–12 months | 17–19 in / 43–48 cm |
| 12–24 months | 19–20 in / 48–51 cm |
| 2–4 years | 20–20¾ in / 51–53 cm |
| 4–8 years | 20¾–22 in / 53–56 cm |
Check your gauge before you start. The pattern gives approximate inch measurements alongside centimetres.
