About This Pattern
This seamless cardigan uses top-down set-in sleeves and a brioche shawl collar. Choose cropped or full length. Written and charted brioche-wave directions and linked technique videos are included. The title does not mean every technique is beginner level: brioche, short rows and i-cord finishing are used.

Size & Fit
Choose by UPPER bust, measured around the chest at the underarms, not full bust. Choose the closest exact size; the source recommends sizing down between sizes. Optional A–F dart choices are based on full-bust minus upper-bust difference, not bra cup sizes.

Yarn, Tools & Skill Level
DK wool or wool blend. Cropped: 850–1,775 yd / 778–1,624 m; full length: 1,000–1,875 yd / 915–1,715 m, by size. Main 4 mm / US 6 circular needles and 5 mm / US 8 for the starting i-cord. Markers, waste yarn and darning needle. Gauge: 19 stitches and 28 rows per 4 in / 10 cm after blocking. Skills include wrap-and-turn short rows, cable cast-on, provisional crochet cast-on, picking up stitches, flat brioche and i-cord bind-off.
