Christmas Manger Scene Toy Set Knitting Pattern

Knit the characters and animals for a handmade manger scene. Most pieces are worked flat, then sewn, stuffed and finished with the small details.

Adult characters are about 11 cm / 4.3 in tall; Jesus in the manger about 7 cm / 2.8 in; sheep about 4 cm / 1.6 in; donkey and camel about 8 cm / 3.1 in. Gauge affects the final size.

3.25 mm single-pointed needles, double-pointed needles for I-cord, 3.5 mm crochet hook for selected small details, DK yarn in 13 colours (up to 20 g each), about 200 g stuffing, black embroidery thread, colouring for cheeks and five cocktail sticks. Gauge: 25 stitches and 31 rows per 10 cm / 4 in. Toy construction and sewing skills are needed. Small parts require care if displaying around children.
